Jeff Murray

Jeff was born in Pasadena, California, and has lived in Grand Junction, Colorado, since 2012. He began his career in the financial industry with Prudential in 1993 and became an independent agent in 2005.

At his firm in Grand Junction, Strategic Planning LLC, Jeff offers his wealth of experience to helping business owners manage their assets and plan for retirement. The fact that he owns both an insurance license and Series 65 certification means that he is able to provide his clients the full spectrum of financial services.

Much of Jeff’s work for his business-owner clients involves tax planning using qualified plans, asset protection planning on the insurance side of things, and 401(k) defined benefit cash-balance plans. Income-based annuities, he says, also figure into the services he provides.

“I work with a lot of business owners, so wealth management is a large part of my work,” says Jeff. Recently, he also has been helping clients find suitable Long-Term Care Insurance policies. Many of these are executive-type bonus life contracts applied to long-term care and hybrid long-term care polices. Few financial topics are beyond Jeff’s expertise, and he finds personal satisfaction in resolving issues for his clients.

“I am personally and genuinely invested in doing good work for my clients, in finding the right solutions for them,” says Jeff. “And I’ve always been prompt, responsive, and professional in handling client requests and contacts. That’s just the way I was raised as a person.”

Away from work, Jeff loves staying active in the “Great Colorado Outdoors.” He camps, hunts, goes fishing, and, he says, plays “too much golf.”
